 Our Ministry Assignment
TRUTH
We believe the Holy Bible is God's Word. The Bible we
now read is directly inspired by God and recorded by men
as a guide to daily living. Because of its divine inspiration,
the Bible is infallible. Therefore, anything that contradicts
the Scriptures cannot be true, regardless of its origin.
The Bible reveals the direct commandments, nature, and
will of God. The Holy Spirit then teaches us to understand
the Word of God, and corrects us when we err. We believe
that through faith, the Holy Spirit and the study of God's
Word, each individual has an opportunity to know God through
a personal relationship and claim eternal life. This ministry
strives to preach the truth, according to the scriptures
and without regard to tradition, denomination or theology.
SALVATION
We believe salvation is a gift from God. It cannot be
earned or purchased. Salvation is free because of the
death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Because
of His sacrifice, we are able to be saved from sins, and
ultimately from death and hell. This ministry is dedicated
to preaching the Gospel to the lost. We are dedicated to allowing men to see our love and good works, that they will be drawn to our Father in heaven. It is our desire
to see souls saved as individuals commit their lives to
Christ and receive the gift He has already supplied. However, we do not preach a "come as you are" message. We also believe that those who worship God must worship Him in spirit and in truth. So, we present repentance as a prerequisite to approaching our Heavenly Father.
"Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost." (Acts 2:38).
DELIVERANCE
Many Christians today are bound by legalism within organized
religion. We believe that Christians should be free, according
to the Word of God, from deceitful doctrine and legalistic
ordinances. Many of us have difficulty following the commandments
of Christ. How much more difficult it must be to follow
the religious commands of man as well! This ministry strives
to teach Christians a life of prayer, fasting, personal
study and communion with the Lord. It is our belief that
only the indwelling of God's Holy Spirit coupled with
true consecration will enable us to know and obey the
Word of God. The Holy Spirit will also give us the wisdom
to discern God's truth from man's tradition and doctrine.
In the same manner, we believe the powers of darkness
are limited to what God's people allow and tolerate. So,
this ministry also takes an active part in deliverance,
for both the saved and the unsaved. We have power over
the enemy, given to us through the Holy Spirit and by
Christ Jesus. Therefore, we exercise this power to cast
out demons, heal the sick and perform other miracles of
power as given to us through the Spirit of God.
"And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition" (Mark 7:9).
"And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; they shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover" (Mark 16:17-18).
HOLY LIVING
We believe the Father has called His people to live holy
lives, pure from the sins and practices of this world.
Therefore, this ministry emphasizes the need of each believer
to seek a personal relationship with God, living a holy
and repentent lifestyle before our Heavenly Father.
"Sanctify yourselves therefore, and be ye holy: for I am the Lord your God" (Leviticus 20:7).
"I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable and perfect, will of God" (Romans 12:1-2).
POWER
We believe the Father has equipped His people for spiritual
battle. Jesus, His only Son, gave His life for our redemption
and sent a Comforter, the Holy Spirit to teach and empower
us, that we may be pleasing in His sight. For this reason,
we are able to claim victory in every area of our lives.
This ministry believes in utilizing this power and teaching
others to do the same. God's people are not defeated,
but we are overcomers, in Jesus' name! We have been empowered
to take the Gospel to to world, and we intend to do just
that!
"But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth" (Acts 1:8).
"For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith" (1 John 5:4).
